I want to help more people get into reading in 2026!

Getting back into reading and building a community of book lovers this year has been incredibly rewarding. As I was reflecting on the year in books, and looking to the year ahead, I wanted to help other people feel that joy. When I was trying to think about how I could do this, aside from just making book content, Bindery and our Discord server came immediately to mind!

So here is what I've come up with: for every month in 2026, I'll be running reading challenges through Bindery and our Discord server, each with its own theme, with the goal being to get former readers back into reading, or to help people who were never readers start incorporating the habit in their daily lives. There will be content that I post here to help guide the challenges, and then our Discord will have channels dedicated to each month where challenge participants will be able to talk with our wonderful book community to get tips, help, and support on their reading journey. Whether you're a physical book reader, e-book reader, or audiobook listener, all readers are welcome!

In January, our theme will be "Find the Time." The goal will be to help participants figure out where they can fit reading into their day, how to get into the habit of reading, and pick the first book they want to use as their gateway to our Year of Reading. They'll then start in on the book, and figure out what their barriers to reading are.

So here is what I would ask of you:

• If you're not a member and want to participate, sign up for any membership tier and our Discord server. That's it, you're in!

• If you know anyone who is looking to read more, get back into reading, or get into reading for the first time, share this post, or my posts in IG/TikTok, and have them come sign up to be part of our community!

• During our challenges, be the positive, awesome people that you already are, and support our challenge participants.
